Yesterday was pretty awesome for a Monday. Bagels were enjoyed. The coffee was flowing. And we welcomed two new guys to the office. Let’s get to know Jay Buerck and John Bracamontes.
Meet Jay Buerck!
Jay joined the industry about 9 years ago as a marketing team member of three Inc 500 award-winning companies, all built through online marketing. He’s done it all: SEO, PPC, Online Reputation Management, and Social Media Marketing. As Digital Optimization Strategist at Evolve, Jay is excited for the opportunity to focus on conversion rate optimization, in addition to SEO and Paid Search activities.
The site I venture to the most is Facebook whether that is on my laptop or through my iPhone app.
Dining out at one of the many restaurants that offers gluten free options throughout the city and drinking a local beer with great friends.
I’ve enjoyed this industry from the first day I stumbled into it. I enjoy the culture of the industry, the creative process, the problem solving aspect through metrics and the challenges of moving people to do what I want them to do.
I just moved to a Mac and I have loved every minute of it!
Talent is Overrated by Geoff Colvin. You wouldn’t want to read the dry and boring books on public policy I have read over the last few months.
I would love to have a beer with President Obama, the leader of the free world, and seems like he would be a good guy to roll up your sleeves and chat about sports, life, and politics.
I am a huge sports fan. I live and die by the St. Louis Cardinals, I have a love-hate relationship with Mizzou sports, and will pretty much watch any sport that pops on the television.
Help us welcome John Bracamontes!
John’s background is saturated in the digital space and business strategy. He has developed, managed, strategized and conceptualized many online programs, products and properties. Additionally, he established and took over existing offline business, building them through online marketing initiatives. Most recently, John has worked at the Zeis Group as the Head of Online Marketing, where he transitioned the totally offline/traditional agency into a digital powerhouse for their clients and became an expert in Financial Marketing within the health, insurance, private equity and banking industries. As the Chief Digital Officer at Traffic-PRM, John created the vision for where the agency’s future and put in place the infrastructure and processes to accomplish its goals. At Evolve, he will take on the role of Vice President, Digital Strategy, collaborating with the team and clients to ensure we are effectively implementing tasks. This includes making sure we have a fluid dialogue so they understand the status of their progress and that we at Evolve understand what is expected of us by the clients, so we can then go above and beyond for them to ensure we have stellar results to report.
Sitting with my wife Jessica and two sons Jackson and Brady in the living room watching Netflix, while I research digital techniques and read on similar topics in the industry.
I feel that I’ve always been a natural marketer and I grew up in love with computers since they were just becoming readily available in schools when I entered into elementary school. As the internet became more popular, I used it more to educate myself, collaborate with others, and build websites. As the world changed forever with the entrance of Google, I began playing around with SEO and PPC. Loved the concept and application and never looked back. It is always changing, evolving, and becoming better.
PC. Have never owned a Mac, except for about a week when a friend of mine sold me his macbook at a deep discount and I resold it for a profit.
The last actual book was The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell, but the most recent “unpublished” read was SapientNitro’s Insights 2013 (I read a lot of periodicals and blogs).
Richard Branson on Neckar Island.
I love intellectual conversation and could talk for hours on topics that I am currently deeply into (digital is always at the top of the list). We’re very excited to add new talent to the team, and we appreciate you tuning in. Feel free to follow John and Jay on their social profiles. Jay: Twitter John: Twitter
